This hand-tinted photo probably dates to around 1910 and captures the picturesque packhorse bridge spanning the wonderfully named Wildmoorstone Brook. The building in the background was a barn belonging to Goytshead Farm, which is just out of the frame on the right.

The bridge is the only part of the hamlet to survive the flooding of Errwood Reservoir. It was rebuilt in 1965 just a couple of miles south at Goytsclough where today it spans the River Goyt.
