A lovers’ walk

A view along a wonderfully picturesque path leading up towards Errwood Hall from the River Goyt. A Victorian writer decribed it as “a lovers’ walk; a deep green wooded way”. The image has been digitally enhanced using a water-colour effect. Magnify the close-up image (no.3) to see the results.

A narrow path described by the Victorian writer, Strephon, as "...a footpath on the right high above the carriage-way. It is a lovers’ walk; a deep-green wooded way made for Phillida and Corydon" (click for more). Captured on a gloriously sunny day, I've sprinkled some digital fairy dust over it using a water-colour filter. (Magnify the close-up image to view the effect.)
