Public Right of Way application

Please use this form if you’d like to help apply for a Public Right of Way (PRoW) from Buxton’s Macclesfield Old Road, along the disused railway track, and down the lane to Plex Farm. Or if you’d simply like to be kept informed about the application.

At the moment the farmer at Plex is turning back walkers from the top of the lane down to his farm. (The bottom half of the lane is already a PRoW.) There are a couple of posts on this website which explain the background, and also include detailed maps:

The only way we can continue to use the path freely is to apply for a PRoW on the basis that people have been walking it for over 20 years. The more people who can support this, the better the chance of succeeding.
