Above: Yours truly pictured at the ruins of Errwood Hall with ITV Calendar presenter, Kerrie Gosney, and camera man (name to follow).
My fleeting moment of fame lasted only a few minutes. But it provided a reason for returning to the valley after my recent move south. So I wasn’t complaining.
A reporter from ITV Granada had phoned to ask if I’d be interested in talking about the Goyt Valley for a short piece they were planning to run on local places of interest.
Which is how I came to be sat on the ruins of Errwood Hall chatting about the history of the valley to presenter Kerrie Gosney, together with Albin Smith from the Forestry Commission.
