Enabling Adobe Flash
There are images on this website that fade between old and modern views of the Valley, such as the one below. The slide effect is created using Adobe Flash. But unfortunately Flash doesn’t work on most smart phones and tablets. So if you see only blank spaces below, this is likely to be the reason.
<div id="fadeBox480"><object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="https://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0" width="480" height="420"> <param name="movie" value="https://www.goyt-valley.org.uk/fades/goyt-valley-fade-4.swf"> <param name="quality" value="high"> <embed src="https://www.goyt-valley.org.uk/fades/goyt-valley-fade-4.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="https://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="420"></embed> </object></div>
If you’re using a desktop or laptop and still can’t view the image above, try changing the settings in your web browser. It shouldn’t be difficult to fix – and is well worth the effort! Click any of the links below to read how to enable Flash on the browser you use.
(If you see a message similar to ‘plug-in failure’ above, try refreshing the page. This sometimes works.)
