It is a beautiful area with spectacular scenery and I tried to imagine it as it was before the reservoirs were constructed and the pine forests planted. The old photos and video you have posted have helped me to do that.
Thanks for your message, John. The Forestry Commission is currently felling a lot of the pine trees around the valley, which is great to see as they’re very dense and have crowded out a lot of the natural trees and vegetation. I’m looking forward to seeing these areas recover, and the landscape return to how it must have appeared before the reservoirs were constructed. David.
